Somerset Wanxia is located relatively near to the Shenzhen airport. My first impression was the cleanliness, and pleasant ambience that was created. Reception is in the 21st floor. Friendly and pleasant staff helped to check in quickly as it was already late in the evening. It has all the amenities a solo traveller might need… gym, yoga room etc. It also has a direct access to B1 which lead directly to the Metro. And crossing the road, access to 24 hours Lawson, local fruits stalls and eateries. For travellers who enjoy moments of peace and tranquility, this is the go to place. It’s not a hotel but a services apartment. So one can enjoy the washing machine, microwave etc within the comfort of your room; and also the use of the bath tub. it is located ~40 min from 东门老街，～30min from 华强北 via DiDi. Want to order takeaways even in the wee hours of the morning? Somerset uses a robot to deliver your food / night snacks straight to your room! You don’t even need to step out to collect. As someone who is sensitive to cigarettes smoke, the entire place is very pleasant and there aren’t any cigarettes smell; very suitable for those who doesn’t like the smell of cigarettes. Request for a high level room (up to 20th floor) to enjoy the night view of Shenzhen. The staff have been very helpful and patient - special mention to Kathy and Frank whom had made my stay a delightful one; and also Kelly whom I could see trying to continuously improve the customer experience so that all guests can feel welcome and have a delightful stay at Somerset Wanxia. Definitely my preferred choice of accommodation in Shenzhen. Thank you!
